Is there any cost to be a contestant? No.  The program is designed to provide scholarship  opportunities for area young women.  There are no entry fees or requirements to solicit funds.  

 

What scholarship opportunities does the program offer? Last year, over $24,000 in cash scholarships were awarded in the Cambria & Somerset County OYW Finals.  In addition, scholarships were offered by a variety of colleges and universities including The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, St. Francis University, St. Vincent College, Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, and Mount Aloysius College. In the past 15 years, over $200,000 was awarded in cash scholarships in Cambria and Somerset Counties, and over $3,000,000 in college scholarships have been made available to young women in Cambria and Somerset counties.
